Food and Poverty Thresholds in Marinduque
In the first semester of 2021, a family of five in Marinduque needed no less than PhP 7,952 on average, to meet the family’s basic food needs for a month. This amount is the food threshold. On the other hand, no less than PhP 11,382 on average, was needed to meet both basic food and non-food needs of a family of five in a month. This amount is the poverty threshold. These food and poverty thresholds were 14.0 percent and 17.0 percent higher, respectively, compared to the food and poverty thresholds of the same period of 2018.
