The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Oriental Mindoro will conduct the September 2022 Labor Force Survey (LFS) in accordance with the PSA Board Resolution No. 8 Series of 2020, Approval of the Conduct of the Monthly LFS and Generation of Monthly Labor and Employment Statistics. Utilizing the 2013 Master Sample, the survey has a total of 96 sample households to ensure reliable estimates of the labor and employment indicators. Two (2) Statistical Researchers (SRs) will be involved in the conduct of the September 2022 LFS data collection from 08 to 28 September 2022.

The headline inflation rate of Romblon accelerated to 2.5 percent in August 2022, compared to the 2.3 percent computed in the previous month. Compared to the previous year, its inflation rate was lower than the registered 9.0 percent in August 2021. The upward inflation in August 2022 was driven by the acceleration of the of selected commodity group such as

•Personal Care and Miscellaneous Goods and Services, 2.0% (1.3% share to inflation trend)
•Health, 2.2% (0.7% share to inflation trend)
•Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco, 7.2% (0.5% share to inflation trend)
The headline inflation rate at the provincial level further increased to 5.9 percent in August 2022, or a change of 0.2 percentage point from the inflation rate in the previous month.

The headline inflation rate at the regional level maintained at 7.1 percent in
August 2022. In the same reference month of the previous year, it posted at 4.1 percent. The 7.1 percent inflation in August 2022 was mainly contributed by selected commodity groups such as (1) food and non-alcoholic beverages, with 7.9 percent inflation, (2) housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels, with 6.1 percent inflation, and (3) transport, with 13.0 percent inflation. The inflation of financial services was recorded at 0.0 percent, the only commodity group which retained its index.
