The province of Romblon is a 3rd class province in the MIMAROPA region with 17 municipalities and 219 barangays. According to the 2015 Census of Population (POPCEN 2015), it has a total population of 292,781 persons, of which 50.6 percent are males and 49.4 percent are females.

The population of the province of Romblon was 292,781 as of August 1, 2015, based on the 2015 Census of Population. This figure was higher by 8,851 over the population count of 283,930 persons in 2010.The population count of the province for the 2010 and 2015 censuses translated to an average annual population growth rate of 0.59 percent. The number of households in the province reached 68,362 or an increase of 5,648 households from the 2010 census figure of 62,714 households. The average household size in 2015 was 4.3 members, lower than the average household size of 4.5 members in 2010.

Romblon Celebrates 29th National Statistics Month

Pursuant to Proclamation No. 647, s. 1990, month of October was declared as the National Statistics Month (NSM). The theme for this year is “Exploring Philippine Wonders in Numbers: Statistics towards Sustainable Tourism Development”, in Filipino, “Pagtuklas sa Ganda ng Pilipinas sa Pamamagitan ng mga Numero: Estadistika para sa Likas-Kayang Pag-unlad ng Turismo.” PSA Romblon conducted various activities to highlight its celebration in the province.
