PSA MIMAROPA Enjoins Support for the Conduct of October 2021 Labor Force Survey (LFS), the 2021 Survey on Overseas Filipinos (SOF) and the Awareness Survey on the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) and the Philippine Competition Act (PCA)

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) MIMAROPA announces the conduct of the October 2021 Labor Force Survey (LFS) and its rider surveys, the 2021 Survey on Overseas Filipinos (SOF) and the Awareness Survey on the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) and the Philippine Competition Act (PCA), which will be undertaken from 08 to 30 October 2021.

Employment Situation in MIMAROPA: April 2016

Sixty five percent of the population 15 years old and over are in the labor force Of the estimated 1.9 million population 15 years old and over in April 2016, the number of persons who were in the labor force was reported at 1.3 million. This placed the labor force participation rate (LFPR) at 65.5 percent, lower than last year’s figure (April 2015) of 65.8 percent. The region’s LFPR was higher by 2 percentage points to the country’s LFPR of 63.5 percent in April 2016.

Employment Situation in MIMAROPA: January 2016

There were 1.3 million persons in the labor force in January 2016 out of estimated 2 million population 15 years old and over in MIMAROPA (Table 1). This translated to a labor force participation rate (LFPR) of 65.6 percent, lower than last year’s figure (January 2015) of 66.2 percent.

The region’s LFPR was higher by 2.3 percentage points to the country’s LFPR of 63.3 percent in January 2016.
