October 2022 Inflation Report of MIMAROPA (Base Year: 2018)

The headline inflation rate at the regional level escalated to 8.5 percent in October 2022, from the 7.6 percent in September. This translated to a change of 0.9 percentage point. In the same reference month of the previous year, the index posted at 3.2 percent. The uptrend of inflation in October 2022 was primarily due to the acceleration of selected commodity groups such as (1) food and non-alcoholic beverages, with 10.2 percent inflation (2) restaurants and accommodation services, with 10.7 percent inflation, and (3) housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, with 6.2 percent inflation.

Civil Registration Service – Calapan Outlet Maintains +96.2 Percent Net Satisfaction Rating for the Third Quarter of 2022

08 November 2022 – CALAPAN CITY. The net satisfaction rating (NSR) of the Civil Registration Service (CRS) - Calapan Outlet maintains at +96.2% based on the results of the Customer Satisfaction Survey this Third Quarter of 2022. The current quarter’s rating was 1.0 percentage point lower than its NSR in the same quarter of the previous year.

Urban Population of the MIMAROPA Region based from the 2020 Census of Population and Housing

As of 01 May 2020, 1.14 million persons or 35.25 percent of the total 3.23 million population of the MIMAROPA Region lived in urban barangays. This represents an increase of 0.23 million persons from the 0.91 million urban residents in 2015. The rural population or those who lived in barangays classified as rural in 2020 comprised the remaining 2.09 million persons or 64.75 percent of the total population. (Table A)

Vital Statistics in MIMAROPA – First Quarter 2022 (Preliminary Results)

In the first quarter of 2022, there were 7,750 live births registered in MIMAROPA Region. This figure exhibited decreased of 7.69 percent compared to the first quarter of 2021 with 8,396 live births. The province of Marinduque posted 4.27 percent increase in live births with 586 live births in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the same quarter in 2021 with 562 registered live births.
