February 2021 Inflation Report of MIMAROPA (Base Year: 2012)

The headline inflation rate at the regional level continued to increase, by 0.2 percentage point, recorded at 5.2 percent in February 2021. This was the highest inflation rate registered since July 2019. During the previous month, the year-on-year change was lower at 5.0 percent. In the same period of the previous year, it was posted at 3.2 percent. The uptrend of inflation in February 2021 was driven by the combined acceleration of selected commodity groups, mainly the heavily-weighted food and non-alcoholic beverages.

January 2021 Inflation Report of MIMAROPA (Base Year: 2012)

The headline inflation rate at the regional level further increased by 0.6 percentage point, recorded at 5.0 percent in January 2021. This was the highest inflation rate registered since July 2019. During the previous month, the year-on-year change was lower at 4.4 percent. In the same period of the previous year, it was posted at 3.2 percent. The uptrend of inflation in December 2020 was driven by the combined acceleration of selected commodity groups, mainly the heavily-weighted food and non-alcoholic beverages.
