03 December 2024 – TIGWI, TORRIJOS, MARINDUQUE. On 03 December 2024, PSO Marinduque, in coordination with LCRO Torrijos headed by MCR Ronan L. Regio, completed Mobile Registration Services for BRAP in the barangay hall of Barangay Tigwi in Torrijos, Marinduque.
The event focused on registering individuals without birth certificates. BRC Shiela Mae Matining, along with Torrijos MCR Regio and staff, facilitated the registration process. At the same time, Tigwi Barangay Secretary Buena P. Relano prepared the Barangay Certification and Certificate of Indigency issued by the Punong Barangay, which are required for delayed registration of Live Birth for the BRAP.
Tigwi Punong Barangay Gregorio Palatino was also presents to give his full support to the said activity. COLBs of six individuals were prepared after completing the requirements for delayed registration of Live Birth.
Overall, the initiative was well-received and appreciated by the community members who participated, as it enabled them to secure essential civil registry documents.
This undertaking is a joint project of PSA PSO Marinduque, PSA RSSO MIMAROPA and Torrijos LGU. This project aims to increase the level of civil registration especially in marginalized communities such as those belonging to the Indigenous Peoples, Muslim Filipinos, and the poorest sector in the country and ensuring that they have their PhilIDs issued which is a gateway for them to claim their social benefits and legal identities.
