Enjoining All Regional Line Agencies, Local Government Units, And State Universities And Colleges To Support The Philippine Statistics Authority MIMAROPA Region In The Formulation Of The MIMAROPA Regional Statistical Development Program 2023-2029

WHEREAS, the Philippine Statistical Act of 2013, or Republic Act No. 10625, states that the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) shall be primarily responsible for all national censuses and surveys, including sectoral statistics, consolidation of administrative recording systems, and compilation of national accounts;

WHEREAS, Section 6 (l) directs the PSA to coordinate the formulation of the Philippine Statistical Development Program (PSDP); WHEREAS, the MIMAROPA Regional Statistical Development Program (RSDP) 2023-2029 shall support the statistical requirements of MIMAROPA’s Regional Development Plan (RDP) 2023-2028 and other local development plans and integrate the statistical activities of the government to address the needs of the data users and stakeholders;

WHEREAS, there is a need to formulate the MIMAROPA RSDP 2023-2029 to ensure that statistical development programs therein are geared towards the attainment of the goals and objectives of the MIMAROPA RDP 2023-2028 and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development;

NOW THEREFORE, ON THE MOTION DULY SECONDED, be it

RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, That the RSC enjoin all regional line agencies, local government units, and state universities and colleges to provide the PSA MIMAROPA Region with key developments on their statistical development programs (SDPs), challenges encountered, and statistical activities for Calendar Years 2018-2023 and new SDPs on the implementation of the MIMAROPA RSDP 2023 -2029.

resolution for information and support.
