Civil Registration training and IDEALS Exit Conference Successful Conclude in Calapan City

29 November 2024 – CALAPAN CITY, ORIENTAL MINDORO. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Oriental Mindoro and Initiatives for Dialogue and Empowerment through Alternative Legal Services (IDEALS), Inc. recently conducted Civil Registration Training for City/Municipal Civil Registrars and Staff, along with the IDEALS Exit Conference, held from 27 to 29 November at the Bishop’s Residence, Barangay Salong, Calapan City.

The training's first day was attended by City and Municipal Civil Registrars along with their staff. The session aimed to enhance their customer relations skills and boost their performance by discussing the LCRO Awards Manual.

On the second and third day the focus shifted to Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative (IPMR), Indigenous Peoples (IP) Volunteers and various government agencies. The IDEALS Exit Conference provided an opportunity for the agency to discuss the progress and impact of IDEALS I-Bridge program, with a particular focus on improving access to civil registration for indigenous communities.

This event is part of the ongoing efforts to ensure all residents of Oriental Mindoro, including indigenous peoples have access to essential government services and properly documented civil registry documents.
