23 JANUARY 2025 – BANGCUANGAN, SANTA CRUZ, MARINDUQUE. PSA Marinduque PSO, in collaboration with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Santa Cruz, successfully conducted Mobile Registration Services in Barangay Bangcuangan, Santa Cruz, Marinduque, on  23 January 2025. The event was held at the Barangay Hall of Bangcuangan, where a team from the PSA and LGU worked together to assist residents in registering for birth certificate and to the Philippine ID system.

BRC Shiela Mae Matining, along with the Philsys Registration Team members Ana Rosechel L. Rodelas and Arthur Llamera and Santa Cruz LCRO staff Trixia Camille Romasanta, provided assistance to individuals who were not yet listed in the PSA database and had not yet registered for the National ID. 

Bangcuangan Barangay Officials, on behalf of Punong Barangay Crisostomo Rogelio, were also on hand to provide support and ensure the smooth conduct of the activity. As part of the initiative, five Certificates of Live Birth (COLBs) were processed for delayed registrations. Additionally, individuals eligible for delayed registration under the BRAP program were identified and added to the verification list in the PSA database.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance civil registration among Indigenous Peoples, Muslim Filipinos, and marginalized communities across the country. By ensuring these groups have been registered to the National ID system, the program helps facilitate their access to vital social services and protects their legal rights. Ultimately, this project strives to improve registration rates, promote social inclusion, and create more opportunities for these communities to benefit from government programs and services.
