Regional Compendium of Environment Statistics (RCES)
The Regional Compendium of Environment Statistics (RCES) is a compilation of statistical information collected from data available from various government agencies and from different statistical publications. The statistical data in this publication is based on the revised Framework for the Development of Environment Statistics (FDES) approved by the United Nations Statistical Commission in 2013. It is focused on the core set of environment statistics of the six components of the revised Framework, namely: (a) environmental conditions and quality, (b) environmental resources and their use, (c) residuals, (d) extreme events and disasters, (e) human settlements and environmental health, and (f) environment protection, management, and engagement.
The RCES aims to provide a reliable source of information for strategic planning, policy, program, and project formulation for the environment and environment related issues.
