02 AUGUST 2024 – ANGAS, SANTA CRUZ, MARINDUQUE. PSA-Marinduque PSO, in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Santa Cruz, has successfully completed Mobile Registration Services in Barangay Angas, Santa Cruz, Marinduque on 02 August 2024. The event took place in the Barangay Hall of the said barangay.
BRC Shiela Mae Matining, along with Santa Cruz LCRO staff Trixia Romasanta, was present to register individuals who do not have records in the PSA database. Certificates of Live Birth (COLBs) for five individuals were prepared following the completion of requirements for delayed registration. Since some registrants were born outside the province, their documents will be forwarded to the appropriate PSO/LCRO for processing and subsequent registration. Additionally, potential beneficiaries for delayed registration under BRAP were identified and listed for verification in the PSA database.
BRAP is a joint project of PSA Marinduque, PSA RSSO-MIMAROPA and Santa Cruz LGU. This project aims to increase the level of civil registration especially in marginalized communities such as those belonging to the Indigenous Peoples group, Muslim Filipinos, and the poorest sector in the country and ensuring that they have their PhilIDs issued which is a gateway for them to claim their social benefits and legal identities.
