10 JANUARY 2025 – MANLIBUNAN, SANTA CRUZ, MARINDUQUE. The PSA PSO Marinduque, in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Santa Cruz and the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) of Santa Cruz, led by MCR Ermelinda R. Rey-Recaña, successfully conducted Mobile Registration Services in Barangay Manlibunan, Santa Cruz, Marinduque on 10 January 2025. The event took place at the Barangay Hall of Manlibunan.

BRC Shiela Mae Matining, together with LCRO Santa Cruz representative Trixia Camille Romasanta, facilitated the registration of individuals without records in the PSA database. For those born outside the province, their documents will be forwarded to the appropriate PSO/LCRO for processing and registration. Manlibunan Punong Barangay Ronnel P. Recalde was also present to offer his full support for the successful conduct of the activity. Additionally, Barangay Secretary Ruth M. De Luna provided the essential documents, such as Indigency and Barangay Certifications, which are crucial for the delayed registration of live births. Furthermore, potential beneficiaries for delayed registration under the BRAP program were identified and listed for verification in the PSA database.
This initiative played a vital role in addressing delayed birth registrations, enabling participants to complete the necessary requirements for securing legal documentation. This documentation is crucial for accessing various services and entitlements. The collaboration between PSA and LCRO ensured a seamless and efficient registration process, demonstrating their commitment to improving civil registration services for the community.

BRAP is a joint project of PSA Marinduque, PSA RSSO-MIMAROPA and Santa Cruz LGU. This project aims to increase the level of civil registration especially in marginalized communities such as those belonging to the Indigenous Peoples group, Muslim Filipinos, and the poorest sector in the country and ensuring that they have their National ID Card issued which is a gateway for them to claim their social benefits and legal identities.
