07 FEBRUARY 2025 – MASIGA, GASAN, MARINDUQUE. In celebration of the 35th Civil Registration Month, PSA PSO Marinduque, in collaboration with the Gasan LCRO, actively participated in an Information Dissemination Activity held in Sitio Talinya, Brgy. Masiga, Gasan, Marinduque on 07 February 2025.
The information dissemination activity was initiated by Gasan MCR Maria Sofia Madronio, who provided valuable insights into Civil Registration Laws, highlighting the importance of proper registration in ensuring legal recognition. Additionally, BRC Shiela Mae Matining explained the detailed process for delayed registration through the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP), helping attendees understand how they could benefit from the program.
The event also served to identify potential beneficiaries eligible for delayed registration under BRAP, ensuring their information was accurately verified in the PSA database for future reference. In addition to this, the National ID team was on hand to provide updates on the National ID system, assisting individuals who had not yet registered, and clarifying how the ID system could benefit them.
The collaboration between the Gasan LCRO and PSO Marinduque through this information dissemination event reflects a proactive and inclusive approach to civil registration. By educating the community on their rights and simplifying the process for vital event documentation, this initiative plays a key role in improving governance, ensuring citizens’ rights are protected, and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of civil registry records. This initiative underscores the importance of community engagement in strengthening civil registration systems and enhancing access to essential government services.
