18 SEPTEMBER 2024 – BOAC, MARINDUQUE. On 18 September 2024, PSA Marinduque-PSO, in partnership with the LGU Boac and through the Boac LCRO initiative, conducted successful civil registration mobile services in the Ilaya I District barangays, specifically Barangays Daypay and Bantad. This event took place in their respective barangay’s Barangay Halls.
BRC Shiela Mae D. Matining, together with Boac LCRO staff Lydia Semilla and Isabel Calayo, visited the barangays to provide essential information about civil registration and the BRAP process for addressing delayed birth registrations. They outlined the standard procedure for late birth registrations and gathered a list of potential BRAP beneficiaries for verification in the PSA database. Informative leaflets on civil registration were distributed, and residents were encouraged to seek assistance in correcting inaccuracies in their civil registry documents. Boac LCRO also offered mobile acceptance services through Boac BREQS to the residents of the two barangays.
Overall, the information dissemination activities in the two barangays in Boac were successful, effectively educating many individuals about civil registration. PSO Marinduque, in collaboration with Boac LCRO, plans to expand these efforts to other barangays in Boac to ensure comprehensive support for all unregistered individuals in the municipality.
