GASAN, MARINDUQUE. PSA Marinduque PSO, in collaboration with Gasan LGU, actively joins in the awarding of Certificates of Live Birth to the BRAP beneficiaries in the three barangays of Gasan – Barangay Masiga, Dawis and Pinggan on 18 and 19 of April 2024, respectively. The awarding activities was done during the Ugnayan sa Barangay project of the Gasan LGU.

The awarding ceremonies took place in the respective barangay halls. BRC Shiela Mae Matining, Gasan LCRO staff, and Gasan Municipal Mayor Rolando O.Tolentino attended the awarding events and personally handed over the COLBs to the lone beneficiary in Barangay Masiga, Gasan.

Pedro Gonzales Mataac, 65, was born in Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro, on June 23, 1958, and is the lone recipient from Barangay Masiga. The registration process was completed via Out-of-Town Reporting of Delayed Registration between LCRO Gasan, Marinduque, and LCRO Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro.

On the other hand, another awarding ceremony on PSA -issued Birth Certificates was conducted on 19 April 2024, in Barangays Dawis and Pinggan, Gasan, Marinduque.

ROI Mary Michelle Macutong, Gasan MCR Maria Sofia Madronio, together with Gasan Municipal Mayor Rolando O. Tolentino, personally awarded the PSA-issued COLBs to five beneficiaries of BRAP.

The conduct of mobile registration is part of the ongoing Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP), an initiative of the PSA that primarily aims to increase the level of registration of vital events particularly in registering births of at least two million individuals belonging in the marginalized communities such as Indigenous Peoples, Muslim Filipinos, and the poorest sector in the country.
