Two in every five households speaks Romblomanon/Ini in Romblon

Based on the 2020 Census of Population and Housing (2020 CPH), Romblomanon or Ini language is spoken in 31,592 households or 40.69 percent of the 77,635 households in the province. Onhan is the second most generally spoken language at home with 23,711 households or 30.54 percent, followed by Bantoanon or Asi with 15,776 households or 20.32 percent.

Tagalog is the fourth most spoken language at home in the province with 5,164 or 6.65 percent of the total households while Bisaya ranked 5th with 967 households or 1.25 percent. (Table 1)

American English, German and Chinese are the primary foreign languages spoken at home by Romblon residents who converse a foreign language

In 2020, 116 households or 0.15 percent households speaks American English at home in the province of Romblon. It was followed by German language with 18 households or 0.02 percent that speaks it at home and Chinese with 6 households or 0.01 percent.

Meanwhile, Italian (5 households or 0.01 percent) and French (3 households or 0.004 percent) completes the Top 5 foreign languages generally spoken at home in the province of Romblon in 2020.
