14 JUNE 2024 – MALIBAGO, TORRIJOS, MARINDUQUE.  The partnership between PSA Marinduque PSO and Torrijos LGU is commendable for successfully awarding Birth Certificates in Security Paper (SecPa) to beneficiaries of BRAP. The event held at the Barangay Hall of Malibago, saw the presence of key figures such as BRC Shiela Mae Matining, Torrijos MCR Ronan Regio, Torrijos SB Councilors Darryll Landoy and Edmar Frias, and Malibago Punong Barangay Joel Regis.

Beyond the awarding ceremony, the initiative extended to providing a vital service—free registration of birth certificates for individuals which are verified not available in the PSA database. This service enabled residents to complete the necessary documents required for the delayed registration process, ensuring their legal documentation is in order.

Such efforts not only address immediate bureaucratic needs but also contribute significantly to the welfare and legal rights of the community members involved. It reflects a positive approach to governance and community service, enhancing accessibility to essential government services at the grassroots level.

The implementation of the BRAP is one of the major programs of the PSA that seeks to ensure that all births of Filipinos are registered in the LCROs for their legal identities. Additionally, their respective COLBs will enable them to be enrolled with the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) for the issuance of their Philippine Identification (PhilID) Cards.
