At the expenditure side, Imports of goods and services from the Rest of the World posted the highest growth among the expenditure items with 47.3 percent; followed by Exports of goods and services with 39.0 percent; and Gross capital formation with 16.7 percent. 

Household final consumption expenditure, and Government final consumption expenditure also posted positive growths in 2022, with 8.2 percent, and 4.2 percent, respectively. (Figure 1)

The per capita household final consumption expenditure in the region increased by 7.0 percent in 2022. The recorded per capita HFCE, at constant 2018 prices, in the region was PhP 106,825, 18.2 percent lower than the national level which amounted to PhP 130,590. (Figure 2)
