07 FEBRUARY 2025 – SAN FERNANDO, ROMBLON. As part of the 35th Civil Registration Month celebration with a theme “𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘈𝘨𝘪𝘭𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦-𝘧𝘪𝘵 𝘊𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘭 𝘙𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘝𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘚𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮”, the Philippine Statistics Authority-Romblon Provincial Statistical Office, in partnership with Local Government Unit (LGU) of San Fernando through Local Civil Registry Office, awarded free SECPA Birth Certificates to 110 Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) beneficiaries at Romblon State University-San Fernando Campus, Brgy. Poblacion, San Fernando, Romblon on 07 February 2025.

In her message, Municipal Mayor Hon. Nanette B. Tansingco, stressed the importance of the BRAP as a government initiative that guarantees inclusivity in the communities. PSA Romblon Statistical Specialist II Mr. Bobby M. Natal also emphasized this topic in his statement. SSII Natal went on to discuss the value of birth registration and the numerous ways that possessing an official identity document enhances a person's day-to-day activities.

Then, OIC-Municipal Civil Registrar of San Fernando, Ms. Lyra Christer Regala, congratulated the beneficiaries on reaching this significant achievement. She ensured everyone that their office is ready to assist the people interested in applying for the BRAP.

Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), as the agency mandated by Republic Act No. 10625 to carry out, enforce and administer civil registration functions in the country shall lead all relevant activities in provision of Act No. 3753, otherwise known as the Law on Civil Registry Status. One of the major programs of the PSA is the implementation of the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) in the country to ensure that all births of Filipinos are registered in the Local Civil Registry Offices.

The Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) will continue its commitments to facilitate the registration, ensuring that all Filipino births are registered in the Local Civil Registry Offices.
