16 July 2025 – BOAC, MARINDUQUE. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reached a significant milestone on 16 July 2025 with the official inauguration of the Civil Registry System (CRS) Outlet in Boac, Marinduque—the first of its kind in the province and a transformative step in delivering more efficient, accessible, and citizen-centric civil registration services to Marinduqueños.
The ceremonial ribbon-cutting was led by PSA MIMAROPA Regional Director Leni R. Rioflorido, Vice Governor Hon. Romulo Bacorro Jr., PSA Marinduque Chief Statistical Specialist Gemma N. Opis, and UniSys Regional Operations Lead Sherelou Suerte, joined by PSA provincial heads across MIMAROPA and key representatives from national and local government agencies.
The event marks the establishment of the fifth CRS Outlet in the MIMAROPA Region, fulfilling a critical need in the province by enabling residents to access civil registry documents—such as birth, marriage, death certificates, and Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR)—without the need to travel outside Marinduque. This development is expected to significantly reduce service delays, transportation costs, and bureaucratic burden for local constituents.
PSA MIMAROPA Regional Director Leni R. Rioflorido delivered a heartfelt message during the event, underscoring the personal significance of this accomplishment.
“I'm truly grateful for having the fifth PSA CRS Outlet established before I retire from government service. At ito ang isa sa legacy ko para sa PSA MIMAROPA Region—ang magkaroon ng CRS Outlet sa mismong probinsya ko po, na matagal ko nang pangarap since ng napunta po ako sa National Statistics Office at now ay Philippine Statistics Authority” she said.
Her words resonated deeply with attendees, especially among local officials and agency partners who have long supported the realization of this project. Their collective expression of gratitude and support during the ceremony reflected the shared understanding of how vital this outlet will be in making civil registration services more accessible to the general public.
The inauguration of the Boac CRS Outlet represents more than just operational expansion—it is a legacy of leadership, collaboration, and inclusive service delivery. It embodies the PSA’s vision of bringing government services closer to the people, especially in geographically isolated areas like Marinduque.
As the PSA continues to modernize its systems and widen its reach, the Boac CRS Outlet stands as a powerful symbol of what can be achieved through perseverance, inter-agency cooperation, and unwavering dedication to public service.
