12 September 2024 – MALUSAK, BOAC, MARINDUQUE. In celebration of the 11th anniversary of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), the Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) organized a Serbisyo Caravan and Exhibit. This event underscores the agency's dedication to public service through enhanced data stewardship and effective service delivery. Aligned with this year’s anniversary theme, "Strengthening Data Stewardship Towards a Responsive Public Service," the event featured a range of activities designed to engage the community and highlight the crucial role of accurate and timely statistical data in improving public service and promoting effective governance.

The occasion was graced by a keynote address from Ms. Helen Alcoba, SWAD-T Leader and Social Welfare Officer II, who highlighted the essential role of the PSA in providing the reliable data needed for government programs. Ms. Alcoba emphasized how PSA data enables agencies to better understand the needs of communities, which in turn supports the creation of inclusive programs that improve governance and public service delivery.

The event also included the participation of partner stakeholders of the PSA PSO Marinduque, highlighting the collaborative efforts aimed at strengthening data-driven governance and responsive public service.

The Serbisyo Caravan showcased a variety of booths offering services, including civil registration documents request and National ID registration, along with infographics displays of each unit. Attendees had the opportunity to interact with PSA personnel, acquiring valuable insights into the processes and receiving assistance with any inquiries or concerns regarding PSA services. Furthermore, educational materials were distributed, enhancing awareness of the services provided and the information available.

This 11th PSA anniversary celebration not only reflected on past achievements but also inspired a renewed commitment to enhancing public service through robust data stewardship. The successful event, led by PSA- Marinduque, demonstrated the agency’s ongoing efforts to foster a well-informed, responsive, and inclusive community.

As the PSA looks ahead to future anniversaries, the success of this year’s celebration will serve as a foundation for deeper community engagement and stronger data-driven governance initiatives.
