30 August 2024 – BOAC, MARINDUQUE. In its continuous efforts to reiterate the agency’s commitment to inclusivity through Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) services, the PSA-Marinduque extended its reach to a remote and mountainous barangay within the municipality of Boac, specifically Barangay Tambunan, where the office successfully launched the "Rehistro Bulilit" campaign on 30 August 2024.
The campaign aimed to ensure that even the youngest members of the community, particularly children aged four and below, are registered and provided with their own National IDs. This initiative not only underscores the importance of early registration but also promotes the benefits of having a national identification system that is accessible to all, regardless of age and location.
The "Rehistro Bulilit" campaign was met with enthusiasm and gratitude from the residents of Barangay Tambunan, expressing appreciation for the convenience it offered by facilitating PhilSys services within their barangay. This effort significantly eased the burden of traveling to the main town for registration, demonstrating the campaign's positive impact on the community.
In addition to Philsys services provided, which encompass registration, ePhilID distribution, Transaction Reference Number (TRN) verification and retrieval, and Digital National ID assistance, the event also included informational sessions to educate the community about the mandates and services of the agency shared by Chief Statistical Specialist, Ms. Gemma N. Opis. Followed by Information Officer I, Ms. Danica J. Gamara who educated on the National ID, its various formats and benefits. These sessions highlighted how having a National ID can simplify access to various services, such as healthcare, education, and financial assistance, ultimately contributing to a more inclusive society.
Furthermore, the office provided special loot bags to the young participants as tokens of appreciation for their cooperation. An engaging raffle with exciting prizes was also organized for other attendees, ensuring a memorable experience for all participants.
Through this event, a total of 43 individuals registered to the National ID system, including 15 children aged 1 to 4 years and 28 registrants aged 5 and above. Additionally, 113 laminated ePhilIDs were successfully distributed.
The PSA Marinduque plans to continue its outreach efforts, ensuring that no community is left behind. Future campaigns will target other remote and underserved areas, reinforcing the agency's dedication to inclusivity and national unity through the PhilSys.
As PhilSys continues to expand its implementation, parents and guardians interested in registering their children are encouraged to take the initiative and visit the Fixed Registration Center or visit our official Facebook page at www.facebook/PSA-Marinduque for PhilSys Mobile Registration Schedules.
