Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSO)  actively assists in processing requests for the replacement of damaged or defaced photos on PhilIDs.

The PhilID card is considered damaged or defective in instances where the entire photograph or a part of it is peeled off, the image does not match the ghost image, or if the photograph appears faded, making facial features indiscernible.

The agency offers the replacement of PhilID with a peeled off photo at no cost, which not only facilitates a seamless process for individuals but also demonstrates a commitment to ensuring that the National ID remains a reliable form of identification. This proactive measure helps to maintain the usability and acceptability of the PhilID in various transactions, promoting efficiency and security in everyday interactions.

As of 24 April, 2024, PSA-Marinduque has processed 106 requests for the replacement of damaged PhilSys IDs, received 15 newly-replaced PhilIDs , with 11 of them already issued to the respective cardholders.

In such cases, registrants with peeled-off photo of their PhilIDs are encouraged to visit the PhilSys Registration Center in the province of Marinduque to initiate the replacement process promptly.

As PhilSys continues to expand its implementation, PSA-Marinduque encourages the remaining unregistered individuals to take the initiatives to visits the PhilSys Registration Center to avail PhilSys services.
