21 AUGUST 2024 – SANTA CRUZ, MARINDUQUE. On August 21, 2024, the PSA Marinduque-PSO, in partnership with the LGU Santa Cruz, conducted a successful Information Dissemination Campaign for the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP). This campaign took place in Barangays Manlibunan and Buyabod in Santa Cruz.

During the event, Birth Registration Coordinator Shiela Mae D. Matining, along with Cindy Caparal from LCRO Santa Cruz, visited the barangays to provide crucial information about the BRAP process for addressing delayed birth registrations. They also informed residents about the regular procedure for late birth registrations. In addition, they compiled a list of potential BRAP beneficiaries for verification in the PSA database. Informative leaflets on civil registration were likewise distributed, and residents had the opportunity to seek guidance on correcting inaccuracies in their civil registry documents.

Overall, the information dissemination activities in the two barangays in Santa Cruz were successful, effectively providing many individuals with knowledge and insights about civil registration. PSO Marinduque plans to extend these efforts to other barangays in Santa Cruz to ensure comprehensive coverage and support for all unregistered individuals in the municipality.
