PPS and CPS generate production, area, yield, and other production-
related data that serve as inputs for policy making and programs on
palay and corn. Moreover, the production data generated from these
surveys are direct inputs to the Value of Production in the Philippine
Agriculture and Fisheries and in the computation of the Gross Domestic
Product. Furthermore, in order to generate more reliable farm price data,
the Farm Price Survey was merged with the farm price data collected by
PPS and CPS using a new sampling design.

Both PPS and CPS employs the face-to-face interview using a paper-
and-pen interview technique on 01-10 July 2023. The survey will cover a
total of 1,518 sample palay farming households and 1,474 sample corn
farming households across all provinces in the MIMAROPA Region.
These will be interviewed by a total of 47 hired Statistical Researchers.

In this regard, PSA MIMAROPA enjoins sampled households to support
the July 2023 Round PPS and CPS with Farm Price by providing the
required information to authorized PSA interviewers who will visit the
sample households in the region.
