05 March 2025 - CALAPAN CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) RSSO MIMAROPA announces the conduct of the March 2025 Labor Force Survey (LFS) and its rider survey-Jobs and Skills Survey (JSS).

The LFS is a nationwide survey of households conducted by the PSA to gather data on the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the population. Data from the survey provides information on major labor market trends such as labor force participation and unemployment rates, hours worked, past industries and occupations of the currently unemployed persons.

The JSS will be the third survey of its kind to be conducted in the Philippines, following similar implementations in Georgia and Bhutan. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has requested the PSA to undertake this survey. The JSS is a nationwide survey which aims to collect critical data on employment, skills, and labor conditions which will enhance the understanding of national and regional labor markets, contributing to more informed and effective policy intervention.

The face-to-face interview using computer-assisted personal interview (CAPI) will be conducted for March 2025 LFS/JSS. The field data collection will be undertaken from 08 to 28 March 2025.

In this regard, PSA MIMAROPA enjoins sampled households to support the March 2025 LFS/JSS by providing truthful and complete answers to our statistical inquiries or surveys.
