PSA Oriental Mindoro joins Serbisyong TAMA Program para sa Barangay

12 NOVEMBER 2024. CALAPAN CITY, ORIENTAL MINDORO. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of Oriental Mindoro joins the City Government of Calapan’s Serbisyong TAMA Program para sa Barangay on 12 November 2024 at Barangay Comunal. Different agencies from Local and National Government participated to the program to bring their services to the participants.

As one of the participating agencies, the PSA PSO of Oriental Mindoro introduces the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) to the barangay. The main objective of BRAP is to ensure that all births of Filipinos are registered in the Local Civil Registry Offices and that they will be enrolled with the PhilSys National Identification System. Likewise, to increase the level of civil registration specially in marginalized communities such as those belonging to the Indigenous People, Muslim Filipinos and the poorest sector in the country and ensuring that they have their PhilIDs issued which is a gateway for them to claim their social benefits and legal identity.
