13 January 2024 – BOAC, MARINDUQUE. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office made significant progress in advancing the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) in 2024, ensuring inclusive registration for residents through innovative strategies, co-location initiatives, and robust community partnerships.
Achieving 86.97 percent of its 2024 National ID registration target, PSA PSO Marinduque enrolled 208,028 individuals by 31 December 2024, out of its goal of 239,207 registrants. This milestone includes the successful enrollment of young children under five years old, underscoring the agency's commitment to comprehensive coverage and accessibility for all age groups.
The success of this effort was largely driven by the strategic deployment of innovative registration methods. These included the launch of the Rehistro Bulilit campaign to ensure the early enrollment of young children, collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to co-locate registration services during the Family Development Sessions (FDS) under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), and the adoption of purok-based registration services, which brought the process directly to local communities for greater accessibility.
The accomplishment was made possible through strong partnerships with local government units (LGUs), civil society organizations, and other key stakeholders, who played a vital role in reaching more remote and underserved areas. These efforts significantly reduced barriers to registration and promoted participation among residents who might otherwise have been excluded.
Looking ahead to 2025, PSA Marinduque remains committed to reaching full registration across the province. The agency is confident that continued collaboration with local partners will ensure the ongoing success of the PhilSys program and its goal of national identification for all.
