12 February 2025 – Santa Cruz, Marinduque. In a heartfelt celebration of the 35th Civil Registration Month, the Philippine Statistics Authority Provincial Statistical Office (PSA PSO) Marinduque organized a special event dedicated to the senior citizens of   Barangay Bagong Silang,      Santa Cruz. This initiative, which underscores the essential role of civil registration in securing citizens' rights and access to vital services, aligns with this year’s theme: “Building a Resilient, Agile, and Future-Fit Civil Registry and Vital Statistics System.”

Recognizing the invaluable contributions of the elderly to the community, PSA PSO Marinduque, in collaboration with Local Government Unit (LGU) and Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) of Santa Cruz, spearheaded a meaningful gift-giving activity to honor and appreciate the senior citizens of Barangay Bagong Silang. Beyond this gesture of gratitude, the event served as a crucial platform for raising awareness about the importance of maintaining updated civil records, such as birth and marriage certificates—documents that are essential for accessing government benefits, including healthcare services, pensions, and social security programs.
