22 MAY 2025 – HINAPULAN, BOAC, MARINDUQUE. The Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of Marinduque, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Boac Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO), actively participated in the Family Development Session (FDS) held in the mountainous and interior Barangay Hinapulan, Boac, on 22 May 2025. The initiative was led by DSWD personnel Buena Fe Baculo.
National ID personnel, together with BRC Shiela Mae Matining, visited the barangay to provide services such as registering individuals in the National ID system, particularly senior citizens who are unable to travel for registration, and printing paper-format National IDs for residents who had not yet received their copies.
Additionally, BRC Matining shared information about the process of delayed registration and requirements under the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP). Unregistered individuals were listed for verification in the PSA database as part of the BRAP initiative.
Residents who availed of the mobile registration services expressed their gratitude, highlighting how the outreach effort saved them both time and resources. This activity is part of a broader initiative by the DSWD, Boac LCRO, and PSA Marinduque to reach underserved communities and ensure that all citizens can register their births - granting them access to essential services such as education, healthcare, and social protection.
