28 February 2025 – GASAN, MARINDUQUE. In a continuous effort to bring essential government services closer to the people, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque, in collaboration with the PSA Regional Statistical Services Office (RSSO) MIMAROPA, successfully conducted a Mobile Civil Registry System (CRS) Outlet in LGU Gasan on 28 February 2025. Held as part of the 35th Civil Registration Month celebration, this initiative was made possible through the cooperation of LGU Gasan and the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) Gasan.

The Mobile CRS Outlet aimed to simplify and expedite the processing of vital civil registration documents, including birth certificates, marriage certificates, and death certificates. By providing these services at the local level, PSA Marinduque effectively minimized the need for residents to travel long distances to obtain necessary documents. This initiative also ensured the same-day release of requested documents, offering a seamless and efficient experience for applicants.

In addition to civil registration services, the event featured National ID registration services under the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys). Residents had the opportunity to register for their National ID, issuance of the National ID in paper format, and gain a deeper understanding of the benefits and other formats of National ID. 

The overwhelming response from the residents of Gasan highlighted the positive impact of this initiative, with hundreds of applications processed throughout the day. The success of the Mobile CRS Outlet further affirms PSA’s dedication to improving service delivery through technological innovation and proactive community engagement.

PSA Marinduque continues to prioritize bringing civil registration services closer to communities. By working hand in hand with local government units, the agency remains steadfast in ensuring that every Filipino has access to the documents and identification services they need.
