17 JANUARY 2025 – TIGUION, GASAN, MARINDUQUE. PSA PSO Marinduque, in partnership with the LGU of Gasan, successfully organized a Mobile Registration Services event on 17 January 2025, at the Barangay Hall of Barangay Tiguion, Gasan, Marinduque. This initiative aimed to assist residents without birth certificates, ensuring they could complete their registration.

BRC Shiela Mae Matining, together with Gasan MCR Maria Sofia R. Madronio and local staff, facilitated the registration process, guiding residents through each step. They also offered free consultations on civil registry documents, addressing issues such as incorrect entries or missing information. The list of potential beneficiaries for the program was also verified against the PSA database to ensure accuracy.

The PhilSys Registration team was likewise present to register individuals who had not yet enrolled in the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys). They also distributed National ID in paper form to residents, promoting the nationwide digital ID system.

In a heartwarming moment, Birth Certificates in Security Paper (SecPa) were distributed to beneficiaries of the Birth Registration Assistance Program (BRAP). Four recipients expressed their joy and gratitude for receiving their birth certificates free of charge, marking a significant step in their civic documentation.

This event showcased the collaborative efforts of PSA, LGU Gasan, and other key partners in providing residents of Tiguion and surrounding areas with access to essential civil registration services, empowering them with the necessary documents for various legal and administrative purposes.

BRAP was implemented in the country to ensure that all births of Filipinos are registered in the Local Civil Registry Offices and that they will be enrolled with the PhilSys National Identification System. PSA Marinduque, together with LCRO of Gasan, conducts Mobile Registration activities in various barangays of Gasan to ensure that all unregistered births will be registered to the concerned PSO/LCRO.
