11 February 2025 – TORRIJOS, MARINDUQUE. In celebration of the 35th Civil Registration Month, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) Marinduque, led by Chief Statistical Specialist Ms. Gemma N. Opis, actively participated in the Information Dissemination and Mobile Acceptance Services event at Sibuyao National High School on      11 February 2025. The initiative, hosted by the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) of Torrijos, gathered Municipal Civil Registrars from the municipalities of Boac, Gasan, Mogpog, Santa Cruz, and Torrijos to bring vital civil registration services closer to the community.

This collaborative effort aimed to enhance public awareness of the importance of civil registration in securing legal identity and access to essential services. Through information dissemination, attendees gained valuable insights into birth, marriage, and death registration processes, as well as the benefits of timely and accurate civil registration.

Beyond raising awareness, the event provided mobile acceptance services, ensuring that community members, especially those in remote areas, had convenient access to civil registration services. Participants were able to inquire about registration procedures, correct records, and avail themselves of PSA and LCRO services without the need to travel far.

Adding an interactive and engaging element to the event, a fun and informative quiz game was conducted to reinforce key messages on civil registration. Students-participants eagerly took part, making the learning experience both enjoyable and memorable.

PSA PSO Marinduque, together with its dedicated partners in the local government, continues to advocate for an efficient and accessible civil registration system. Through initiatives like this, PSA remains committed to building a more informed and connected community, where every individual’s civil registry record is properly documented and secured.
