3 MARCH 2025 – CORCUERA, ROMBLON. In celebration of the 35th Civil Registration Month with the theme “Building a Resilient, Agile, and Future-Fit Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) System,” the Philippine Statistics Authority-Romblon conducted a Mobile Serbisyo Caravan at Barangay Mangansag, Corcuera, Romblon, on February 26-27, 2024.

The initiative was in response to the request of LGU Corcuera aimed to bring essential civil registration services closer to the island-municipality. The caravan offered mobile acceptance of civil registry document requests, consultations on vital document concerns, and distribution of informational leaflets. Additionally, it facilitated Step 2 National ID registration, ePhilID issuance, Transaction Reference Number (TRN) retrieval, updating services, and assistance with generating digital national IDs.
The event saw an overwhelming response from the public, with:
• Over 300 civil registry document requests accepted
• 792 informational leaflets distributed
• 203 individuals registered in the National Identification System
• 21 requests for TRN retrieval
This successful initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Corcuera, led by Mayor Elmer F. Fruelda, along with barangay officials and key stakeholders. Through these efforts, PSA Romblon continues to uphold its commitment to accessible and efficient civil registration and national ID services for all.
