03 March 2025 - ROMBLON, ROMBLON. The Philippine Statistics Authority- Romblon Provincial Statistical Office conducted a Provincial Level Training for the 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System (POPCEN-CBMS) Geotagging Operations of Service Facilities and Government Projects Listing (SFGP), also known as the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS Form 8 Operation. This involved the generation of QField Projects (QPs) and the preparation of paper maps for data collection as part of the preliminary activities. The training took place from February 24 to 27, 2025, at the Romblon Provincial Statistical Office, 2nd Floor, Navarette Building, Barangay II, Romblon, Romblon.

The Geotagging of the Service Facilities and Government Projects (SFGP) initiative is designed to capture and collect accurate, timely local-level information about households or housing units, service facilities, government projects, and natural resources. Additionally, the Listing of Building Constructions will be carried out simultaneously with the SFGP.
During the four-day training, the participants included two Team Supervisors (TS), eight Map Data Collectors (MDCs), two Map Data Processors (MDPs), and one Map Data Reviewer.

PSA Romblon hired SFGP personnel conducted field practice at Barangay II (Poblacion), Romblon, Romblon.
The field operation for the 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System (POPCEN-CBMS) Geotagging Operations for the SFGP and the Listing of Building Constructions is scheduled to commence on March 3, 2025, and will continue until April 12, 2025.
CBMS is an organized technology-based system of collecting, processing, and validating necessary disaggregated data, that may be used for planning, program implementation, and impact monitoring at the local level while empowering communities to participate in the process.
