To promote awareness and understanding in the civil registration and National ID, the Philippine Statistics Authority-Romblon Provincial Statistical Office conducted an information dissemination for students and teachers at Montfort Academy Inc., Brgy. Lonos, Romblon, Romblon on February 27, 2025. The event was conducted in celebration of the 35th Civil Registration Month with a theme “𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘈𝘨𝘪𝘭𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦-𝘧𝘪𝘵 𝘊𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘭 𝘙𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘝𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘚𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮”.

Engr. Johnny F. Solis, Chief Statistical Specialist, led the discussion by presenting basic concepts and terms in civil registration. He highlighted right processes in case there are clerical errors in the civil registry documents for correction, lacking entries for supplemental and necessary requirements to use the surname of the father and legitimation.

Then, Registration Officer I Engr. Mariel V. Fallarcuna, key aspects of the National ID. She explained the various formats of the National ID and emphasized the importance of recognizing the ID as a valid form of identification in both public and private transactions. She provided answers on Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and instructed the attendees on how to access the digital National ID.

In addition to the informational campaign, PSA Romblon held a game called "PSA Says," which is PSA's version of Family Feud, to assess students' understanding of national identification and civil registration. Team Bulonggoy emerged victorious, while Team Carmeleta came in second.

Further, PSA Romblon conducted an on-site acceptance of civil registry document requests, allowing students, teachers and parents to conveniently request civil registry documents.

The annual observance of CRM is pursuant to Proclamation No. 682 “Declaring the Month of February of Every Year as Civil Registration Month” issued by then President Corazon C. Aquino dated January 28, 1991.
