3 MARCH 2025 – ROMBLON, ROMBLON. The Philippine Statistics Authority-Romblon Provincial Statistical Office culminated the month-long celebration of the 35th Civil Registration Month (CRM) with the theme “𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘈𝘨𝘪𝘭𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦-𝘧𝘪𝘵 𝘊𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘭 𝘙𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘝𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘚𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮” through a closing ceremony held at DC Munting Paraiso Resort, Brgy. Lonos, Romblon, Romblon.

The ceremony featured information dissemination and contests to selected students and coaches from Agnipa National High School, Alad National High School, Macario Molina National High School (MMNHS), Romblon National High School (RNHS) and Montfort Academy, Inc.

Registration Officer II Ms. Maria Cristina M. Uy led the discussion by presenting court decrees and legal instruments on civil registration. Then, Chief Statistical Specialist Engr. Johnny F. Solis provided a lecture on Data Appreciation on Selected Vital Statistics wherein he discussed uses/basic sources of vital statistics, as well as birth, marriage, and death statistics. Also, CSS Solis shared to participants the activities conducted during the celebration of the 35th Civil Registration Month.

Following the discussions, Registration Officer I Engr. Mariel V. Fallarcuna served as the Quiz Master for the Civil Registration Quiz. Five (5) pairs from the above-mentioned schools joined the contest. After three grueling rounds, Macario Molina National High School (MMNHS) was announced as champion while Alad National High School and Agnipa National High School landed in 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.

On the other hand, a Poster Making Contest was also conducted with the theme, “Digitalization of Civil Registration System: Its Impact to the Delivery of Services”, Alad National High School was proclaimed as the winner. Meanwhile, Macario Molina National High School and Agnipa National High School won 2nd and 3rd place, respectively. Further, CSS Solis facilitated the game show PSA Says, which is PSA's version of Family Feud that features trivia on civil registration and statistics to raise participants' awareness of PSA. The team from Macario Molina National High School was declared the winner in the end, with the team from the Agnipa National High School taking second place.

Following the contests, an PSA Romblon awarded cash prizes to the winners. PSA Romblon extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the 35th CRM. Nonetheless, teachers-coaches expressed their appreciation to PSA for the initiative of the activity of which not only honed the talents of each student but also promotes the wholesome advocacy of the PSA.

The annual observance of CRM is pursuant to Proclamation No. 682 “Declaring the Month of February of Every Year as Civil Registration Month” issued by then President Corazon C. Aquino dated January 28, 1991.
