04 February 2025- CALAPAN CITY, ORIENTAL MINDORO - The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Provincial Statistical Office of Oriental Mindoro spearheads the celebration of the 35th Civil Registration Month (CRM) in the province this February 2025. The celebration is pursuant to Presidential Proclamation 682, which declares the month of February of each year as the Civil Registration Month, as affirmed by former President Corazon C. Aquino on the 28th of January 1991.

The PSA as the primary agency mandated to carry out, enforce and administer civil registration functions in the country as provided for in Act 3753 will lead the month-long celebration of the 33rd CRM with this year’s theme: “Building a Resilient, Agile, and Future-fit Civil Registration and Vital Statistics System”.

The annual observance of the CRM aims to strengthen the agencies’ advocacy to provide effective civil registration and accurate vital statistics. It also serves to remind Filipinos of their responsibility to register vital events in their life such as births, marriages, and deaths, as well as decrees, legal instruments, and judicial orders affecting their civil status.

The following are the activities to be conducted by PSA Oriental Mindoro during the month-long celebration:

The 15 Local Civil Registry Offices in Oriental Mindoro will also conduct various activities including hanging of streamers, mobile registrations, Kasalang Bayan, Information Dissemination Campaigns, and free issuances of birth, marriage, and death certificates.
