12 September 2024 – LAMESA, MOGPOG, MARINDUQUE. On 12 September 2024, PSA-Marinduque PSO, in collaboration with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Mogpog, actively participated in Civil Registration Information Campaign in Barangay Lamesa, Mogpog, Marinduque. The mobile registration event took place at the barangay's covered court.
BRC Shiela Mae Matining, PhilSys personnel RKO Arthur Llamera, and Mogpog MCR Virginia Sartillo, along with her team, provided valuable information on Civil Registration Laws and addressed client queries about civil registry issues. BRC Matining discussed the process for delayed registration through the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP), while RKO Llamera highlighted the importance and uses of the three types of IDs: PhilID, ePhilID, and Digital ID. They also identified potential beneficiaries for verification in the PSA database.
In addition, the event allowed for the acceptance of requests for PSA copies of civil registry documents via Mogpog BREQS. The PhilSys Registration Team was on hand to register both individuals and children who had not yet enrolled in the National ID system. LCRO Mogpog also offered free PSA birth certificate copies to Senior Citizens and PWDs under the GAD Fund project, ensuring a comprehensive service delivery to all community members.
The information dissemination on civil registration in Barangay Lamesa in Mogpog significantly benefits citizens by providing them with essential knowledge about civil registration and the range of government services available to them. Without proper birth registration, children may face exclusion from crucial services like healthcare, education, and social protection, hindering their development and opportunities.
