06 FEBRUARY 2025 – CAPAYANG, MOGPOG, MARINDUQUE. As part of the 35th Civil Registration Month celebration, PSA PSO Marinduque, in collaboration with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Mogpog and the initiative of the Mogpog Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO), successfully organized Mobile Civil Registration Services event in Barangay Capayang, Mogpog, Marinduque on 06 February 2025.

Prior to the commencement of the registration process, Capayang Punong Barangay Rommel N. Moreno expressed his sincere gratitude and full support for the initiative, highlighting the importance of the event for the community. Mogpog MCR Virginia Sartillo provided an informative session on civil registration laws, ensuring that attendees understood their rights and responsibilities. Additionally, BRC Shiela Mae Matining shared valuable information about the process for delayed registration, specifically through the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP). National ID personnel RKO Neil Aldrin Pelaez also presented updates on the National ID system, offering clarity on its benefits and ongoing developments.

Throughout the event, potential beneficiaries for delayed registration under BRAP were identified and listed for further verification in the PSA database. In a bid to support senior citizens, the LGU, through the GAD Fund project by the Mogpog LCRO, provided Certificates of Live Birth (COLBs) on security paper to eligible senior citizens at no cost. Furthermore, three BRAP beneficiaries were issued PSA Birth Certificates, expressing deep appreciation for receiving their certificates at no cost.
To further educate the public on civil registration, leaflets containing key information were distributed to attendees. In addition, several services were made available, including the acceptance of requests for civil registry documents through the Mogpog BREQS.

This initiative was an important step in improving access to vital civil registration services, benefiting both the residents of Barangay Capayang and the broader Mogpog community.
