10 FEBRUARY 2025 – MASIGA, GASAN, MARINDUQUE. PSA PSO Marinduque, in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Gasan, through the initiative of LCRO Gasan, joins in the conduct of Information Dissemination Campaign to the residents of Sitio Quatis Ilaya and Ibaba, Brgy. Masiga, Gasan, Marinduque, on 10 February 2025.

Birth Registration Coordinator Shiela Mae D. Matining, along with Gasan MCR Maria Sofia Madronio and LCRO staff, were present to provide valuable information on civil registration and the process for delayed registration under the BRAP. They also assisted residents with addressing errors in their civil registry documents. The National ID Registration Team, who were also present, shared information about the National ID system and helped register individuals who had not yet enrolled.
The information dissemination in the two sitios of Brgy. Masiga, Gasan greatly benefited residents by offering crucial insights into civil registration and available government services. Proper birth registration is essential for accessing key services such as healthcare, education, and social support. Civil registration is not just a fundamental right - it empowers individuals and plays a vital role in promoting equity and inclusive development within the community.

BRAP is implemented in the country to ensure that all births of Filipinos are registered in the Local Civil Registry Offices and that they will be enrolled with the Philippine National Identification System specially in marginalized communities such as those belonging to the Indigenous People, Muslim Filipinos and the poorest sector in the country and ensuring that they have their National ID cards issued which is a gateway for them to claim their social benefits and legal identities.
