Religious Affiliation in Victoria, Oriental Mindoro

Roman Catholic account for 77.9 percent of the household population

Of the 52,158 household population in 2020, 40,650 persons (77.9 percent) reported Roman Catholic as their religious affiliation. It was followed by Iglesia Ni Cristo with 2,051 persons or 3.9 percent, and United Church of Christ in the Philippines with 1,141 persons with 2.2 percent. Completing the top ten Religious Affiliations in 2020 in the municipality of Victoria were Evangelical Christian Outreach Foundation with 1.9 percent, Jesus is Lord Church and Seventh Day Adventist with 1.4 percent, each, The Wesleyan Church with 1.3 percent, Church of the Foursquare Gospel in the Philippines, Incorporated with 0.9 percent, Other Evangelical Churches with 0.7 percent and Other Protestant with 0.7 percent.

Barangay Loyal has the highest proportion of household population with Roman Catholic as religion

Of the 32 barangays in the municipality of Victoria, Oriental Mindoro, Barangay Loyal posted the highest proportion of Roman Catholics comprising 92.6 percent of the household population. It was followed by Barangay Mabini with 91.7 percent, Barangay Sampaguita with 91.5 percent, Barangay San Cristobal with 91.2 percent, and Barangay Urdaneta with 91.0 percent. Meanwhile, Barangay Villa Cerveza recorded the least number of household population with Roman Catholic as religion with 1,087 or 43.9 percent. (Table 2 and Table 3)

Barangays with 90.0 percent of household population who reported Roman Catholic as their religion

Among the 32 barangays in the municipality of Victoria Oriental Mindoro, there were six barangays with 90.0 percent of household population reported Roman Catholic as their religious affiliation. These were Barangay Loyal with 92.6 percent, Barangay Mabini with 91.7 percent, Barangay Sampaguita with 91.5 percent, Barangay San Cristobal with 91.2 percent, Barangay Urdaneta with 91.0 percent and Barangay Bagong Silang with 90.5 percent.

Barangay Poblacion II has the highest proportion of household population with Iglesia ni Cristo as religion

Among the 32 barangays in the municipality of Victoria, Oriental Mindoro, Barangay Poblacion II posted the highest proportion of Iglesia ni Cristo with 14.3 percent as their religion. It was followed by Barangay Poblacion I with 8.8 percent, Barangay Bambanin with 8.7 percent, Barangay Poblacion III with 8.3 percent and Barangay Ordovilla with 6.8 percent. Barangay Mabini reported the least number of household population with Iglesia ni Cristo as their religion with 0.8 percent. (Table 5)
