PSA Oriental Mindoro joins Serbisyong TaMa Program para sa Barangay

19 August 2024 – CALAPAN CITY, ORIENTAL MINDORO. Philippine Statistics Authority - Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of Oriental Mindoro joined the City Government of Calapan’s Serbisyong TaMa Program para sa Barangay on 19 August 2024 at Calapan City Plaza Pavillion. Different agencies from the Local and National Government participated to the program to bring their services to the participants from barangay San Vicent East, San Vicente West, and San Vicente Central.

As one of the participating agencies, PSO Oriental Mindoro brought the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) to the barangay. The main objective of BRAP is to ensure that all births of Filipinos are registered in the Local Civil Registry Offices and that they will be enrolled with the PhilSys National Identification System, likewise to increase the level of civil registration especially in the marginalized communities such as those belonging to the Indigenous People, Muslim Filipinos and the poorest sector in the country and ensuring that they have their PhilIDs issued which is a gateway for them to claim their social benefits and legal identity.

Aside from BRAP, PSO Oriental Mindoro offers consultation to clients with inconsistencies in their documents. IEC materials of RA 9048, RA 10172, and Pagpaparehistrong Sibil were also distributed to disseminate information. A total of nine (9) clients were served by the services offered of PSA - PSO Oriental Mindoro.
