02 JULY 2025 – MAKULAPNIT, SANTA CRUZ, MARINDUQUE. On 02 July 2025, the PSA Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSO), in partnership with the Santa Cruz Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO), successfully conducted a BRAP Mobile Registration activity at the Barangay Hall of Makulapnit, Santa Cruz. This initiative aimed to improve access to civil registration services for residents.
BRC Shiela Mae D. Matining, along with LCRO staff Crisilda Quindoza, efficiently facilitated the processing of birth certificates for individuals whose records were not found in the PSA database. Some registrants were born outside the province, thus, their documents will be endorsed to the appropriate PSA or LCRO offices for further verification and processing.
Barangay Secretary Myralyn Zulueta played a vital role by issuing the required Barangay Certification and Certificate of Indigency—both essential documents for delayed birth registration. To streamline the process, a consolidated list of potential beneficiaries was prepared and cross-checked with the PSA database to ensure that assistance was extended to those who truly needed it.
In addition, National ID personnel RKO Arthur Llamera and RA Mark Paul Mascareñas provided valuable support by assisting residents with their National ID registration, including bedridden senior citizens. They also distributed paper-based National ID cards to registrants.
The event offered a convenient and welcoming environment for community members to register vital documents without the burden of traveling far. This collaborative effort highlighted the shared commitment to civic inclusion and public service, making civil registration more accessible and empowering residents through government support. Overall, the mobile registration activity was a significant step toward strengthening community engagement and ensuring that essential services reach even the most remote areas.
