31 July 2025 – BOAC, MARINDUQUE. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) proudly participated in the 125th Anniversary celebration of the Historic Battle of Paye, on 31 July 2025 at Sitio Paye, Barangay Balimbing, Boac, Marinduque. This meaningful event was attended by local government officials, representatives from various local government offices, and national government agencies, all united in honoring one of the most significant events in the province’s history.

With the theme “Pagsasakabataan ng Labanan sa Paye at Pamanang Marinduqueño,” the commemoration paid tribute to the brave individuals who offered their lives in defense of the nation during the historic Battle of Paye. Their courage and patriotism remain a guiding force for today’s youth, encouraging a continued commitment to national pride and service.

As part of the ceremony, participants offered flowers as a gesture of respect and gratitude to the heroes of Paye. This solemn tribute served as a symbolic act of remembrance, honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country’s freedom and sovereignty.

Beyond historical reflection, the activity served as a call to action for every Filipino to become a hero in their own right by safeguarding the nation's heritage, upholding democratic values, and fostering love of country for future generations.

Through its active participation, PSA-Marinduque reaffirms its support for initiatives that promote unity, historical awareness, and civic responsibility. The agency remains committed to contributing to the province’s development through quality statistical services while supporting efforts that preserve and honor Marinduque’s rich cultural identity.
