20 MARCH 2025 - ROMBLON, ROMBLON. Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Romblon conducted the third level operational training on the Fisheries and Crops Production Survey on March 10-13, 2025, at PSA Odiongan District Office, Odiongan, Romblon. The Quarterly Inland Fisheries Survey and Quarterly Aquaculture Surveys will gather information on volume and price of species caught by inland fishing households and aquafarms in twelve (12) municipalities in the province of Romblon. Meanwhile, Crops Production Survey is one of the major agricultural surveys conducted that aims to generate estimates on volume of production, area planted/harvested, number of bearing trees/hills/vines, and farmgate prices for crops other than palay and corn at the national and sub-national levels. Sample farm operators in fourteen (14) municipalities in the province of Romblon will be visited.

Five (5) trained statistical researchers (SRs) is presently doing collection of data from using Computer Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI) on the sample inland fishing households, aquafarms and farm operators. Field operations is scheduled March 14-26, 2025.
Everyone is encouraged to support the data collection activities and provide accurate data to our authorized SRs. All information collected from the sample respondents shall be kept strictly confidential and shall not be used for purposes of taxation, investigation or regulation as provided under Article 55 of RA 10625.
