7 March 2025 - SANTA FE, ROMBLON. A valid proof of identity is a foundation of individual rights, security, and access to essential services. It ensures recognition in society and enables full participation in legal, social, and economic activities. Recognizing this, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Romblon, in collaboration with the Local Civil Registrar of Santa Fe, led by Municipal Registrar Jaquiline Mayor, successfully conducted a special registration event for bedridden senior citizens in Brgy. Danao Norte, as well as National ID enrollment at the Poblacion Covered Court on March 7, 2025.

Registration Kit Operator Terenz Jeffrey Factor successfully registers three senior individuals into the National ID system.
The event focused on three senior citizens—aged 91, 89, and 77—who were successfully registered for the National ID system to ensure a valid identification in facilitating their delayed registration of their live births.
Following the house visits in Brgy. Danao Norte, the registration team proceeded to the Poblacion Covered Court to assist additional National ID registrants. In addition to registration, an information dissemination session was held, and leaflets were also distributed to inform the public about the National ID system and its benefits.
At the end of the day, a total of 60 individuals were successfully enrolled in the National ID system, including 13 children aged 0-4, and 47 individuals aged 5 and above. Due to the high demand, additional registrants were advised to return during the next scheduled registration session. To accommodate residents, PSA Romblon has extended the registration period from March 10-12, 2025, at the Poblacion Covered Court.

By ensuring that even the most vulnerable members of the community are included, this effort reaffirms PSA Romblon's commitment to providing an inclusive and accessible identification system for all Filipinos, regardless of age or physical limitations. Furthermore, reflects the agency’s ongoing mission to strengthen the National ID System and enhance service delivery for all citizens.
