15 MAY 2025 – ROMBLON, ROMBLON. The Philippine Statistics Authority-Romblon continues to deliver inclusive services under the National Identification System, reaches even the remote areas of the province. Available services include Step 2 Registration for all individuals, retrieval of lost transaction numbers, issuance of printed paper National IDs (ePhilIDs), assistance in generating digital national ID, and updating of demographic information at the fixed registration center.
Despite challenges such as limited manpower, difficult terrain, and unpredictable weather, PSA Romblon maintains active outreach across the three major islands—Sibuyan, Romblon mainland, and Tablas—covering municipalities like Cajidiocan, Romblon, and San Agustin.

PSA Romblon Registration personnel assist residents during the Step 2 registration.
As of April 30, 2025, 1,582 individuals completed Step 2 registration, surpassing the target workload of 720. This includes 381 children aged 0–4 and 1,201 individuals aged 5 and above. Since the program began in June 2021, a total of 260,247 individuals have registered, including 163 members of the Sibuyan Mangyang Taga-bukid (SMT), an Indigenous group, and 10 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs). Of these, 260,186 are Romblon residents and 61 are from outside the province.
In April, Cajidiocan recorded the highest registration turnout with 617 registrants, followed by San Agustin (526), Romblon (265), Odiongan (155), and San Fernando (16), with 3 registrants from other municipalities.
PSA Romblon also issued national IDs in paper format via both Mode 1 (printed) and Mode 2 (house-to-house delivery). As of April 30, 2025, a total of 225,746 ePhilIDs have been distributed: 45,028 via walk-in and 180,718 via house-to-house delivery. In April alone, 515 ePhilIDs were issued.
In the same month, the Fixed Registration Center updated the demographic information of 82 individuals and provided assistance in accessing digital versions of the National ID.
The increase in registrations and ePhilID issuance is attributed to targeted initiatives such as the mobile registration activities supported by barangay local government units (BLGUs), co-location with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and special registration events. These efforts are strengthened by the commitment of field registration personnel and the active collaboration of LGUs, barangays, and other partner agencies.
Furthermore, mobile registration activities are ongoing in Sibuyan Island, while the Fixed Registration Center (FRC) at the G/F Kadbayan Building, Brgy. Dapawan, Odiongan, Romblon, remains open to the public from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. In addition, PSA Romblon is set to launch its 'National ID on Wheels' initiative this May to reach bedridden social pension beneficiaries.
PSA Romblon remains committed to the goals of Republic Act No. 11055 (PhilSys Act), working toward a single, secure identification system to improve public service delivery for all Filipinos. Also, ensure that all eligible individuals, regardless of mobility or location, have access to National ID services.
