14 October 2024 – Baco Community College -In an effort to promote awareness and understanding of the National ID the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) MIMAROPA conducted a National ID Information Dissemination for students and teachers of Baco Community College on October 14, 2024.

Registration Officer III, Leovell B. Atienza, led the discussion by presenting the key aspects of Republic Act 11055 (Philippine Identification System Act), Executive Order No. 162, and related issuances. RO III Atienza explained the different formats of the National ID and emphasized the importance of recognizing the ID as a valid form of identification in both public and private transactions.RO III Atienza also highlighted the penal provisions of RA 11055 regarding the refusal to accept the National ID, further highlighting its legal significance. The participants were able to gain a deeper understanding of the benefits of the National ID.

Following the discussion, an engaging audio-visual presentation was shown, demonstrating the steps for generating a Digital National ID and performing a National ID check.

The PSA MIMAROPA continues its efforts to raise awareness on the National ID and encourages the public to register for the National ID, which plays a vital role in fostering a more inclusive and secure society.
