08 JULY 2025 – KAMANDUGAN, SANTA CRUZ, MARINDUQUE. On 08 July 2025, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSO), in collaboration with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Santa Cruz and the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) of Santa Cruz, successfully conducted a mobile civil registration activity in Barangay Kamandugan, Santa Cruz, Marinduque.

The event aimed to assist residents whose birth records are not yet available in the PSA Civil Registry System. BRC Shiela Mae D. Matining, together with LCRO staff member Crisilida Quindoza, facilitated the registration of Certificates of Live Birth for individuals requiring delayed registration. Some of these individuals were born outside Marinduque, and their documents will be endorsed to the appropriate PSA or LCRO offices for further processing.

In addition, the National ID Team was present to register residents who had not yet enrolled in the National Identification System (National ID). This simultaneous service delivery provided a one-stop setup for residents to secure both their birth certificates and national identification records.

This initiative reflects the ongoing commitment of PSA Marinduque and LCRO Santa Cruz to close civil registration gaps, especially for those in underserved and remote communities. By actively addressing the lack of vital records, the program ensures that more Filipinos gain access to legal identity and the associated rights and services it unlocks.

Overall, this effort aligns with the national vision of inclusive development under the Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) Decade, which promotes legal identity for all and equitable access to essential government services, particularly for marginalized populations.
